first yard work

Well, I changed my schedule today and have been working in the yard. The front yard is grass, with one large tree, and some ... beds next to the house and along the western property line filled with rocks. There are a few shrubs, and some clumps of iris. Today I decided I could no longer stand looking at all the dead leaves from last year, so I neatened that up. Then picked up all the honey locust pods all over the front yard. Then pulled a few weeds. Then weeded the flower bed (on the east side of the house). Then got last years growth out of the irises and peonies and whatnot in the back yard. Trimmed some dead wood off the lilac. Etc. Now it's time to stretch, make some dinner, and do the paperwork I need to do.
